Joy will always be remembered by those who knew her as a kind heart and giving spirit. She was also quite the artist as she loved painting, floral design and decorating for the holidays. Joy was also a fantastic cook. She had the good fortune of being surrounded by a close family network. Together they shared many family gatherings and irreplaceable memories. She will also be missed by her long-time friends and colleagues. She owned and operated the Hair Scene on South Main for over 20 years. Survivors include her daughter, Cammie Marrs and son-in-law, Chris of Cedar Hill; stepson, Milton Cooke and wife Julie and grandchildren, Marcee, Cody and Caden, all of Canadian. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Alvin. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Joy’s caregivers, Karen Shaw, Misti Matthews, Alexis, Linda, Beverly, Christine and Biddy.
