Service for Juanita Gay Cheek, 86, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Dr. Steve Mullen will officiate, assisted by Greg Fletcher. Burial will be in Baker-Lain Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, from 6-8:00 P.M., at the funeral home. Juanita Gay Cheek passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013 in Ft. Worth. She was born March 4, 1927 in Olney to Curtis and Narcissa Adams Free. She married Henry Grady Cheek on Mar. 1, 1947 in Cleburne. Mrs. Cheek was a homemaker. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 343 in Rio Vista and the New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Grady Cheek of Cleburne; daughters, Patricia Campbell and husband Mike of Henrietta and Debbie Burns and husband Mike of Cleburne; six grandchildren, DeWayne Burns and wife Jennifer, Jeff Burns and wife Kristi, Jana Fletcher and husband Greg, Crystal Finch and husband Jason, Justin Campbell and Cody Gomora and wife Amanda; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Ruth Steadman and Onita Free and three brothers, Claude, Phillip and Jr. Free.
