Service for Lawrence Ballard, 89, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be open 8-5:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Lawrence Ballard passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 in Glen Rose. He was born March 1, 1931 in Blum to E.A. "Jack" and Mary Elizabeth (Windell) Ballard. Lawrence was a farmer and a highly skilled mechanic who never passed a stranded motorist in need. Lawrence was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing. Lawrence is survived by his daughters, Linda Ruth Ballard Pope and Thomas of Colleyville and Sherri Ballard Jansen and Scott of Bells; son David Lawrence Ballard and Sarah of Manassas, Virginia; sister LaDean Stephens of Cleburne; brother Eldon Ballard of Cleburne; 7 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren. Preceded in death by brothers, Otis Ballard and Clarence Ballard; grandson, Andrew Pope.
