Service for Lela Dea Colmer, 99, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Tony Tawater will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Lela Dea Colmer passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014 in Cleburne. She was born January 28, 1915 in Whitney to William Frank and Emma Neuton Clements Burkleo. She married Emmett Colmer on December 14, 1933 in Cleburne and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Colmer was a homemaker who loved to garden, quilt, read and play 42 with friends. She attended school in Lone Willow Community and was a member of Lone Willow Baptist Church for 69 years. Her faith, family, friends, and church family were great sources of strength and comfort for her. Survivors include her daughter, Lela Jean Hanna and husband Jerrell; son, Gary Emmett Colmer and wife Adrienne; grandchildren, Karen Horn and husband Garry, and Mark Hanna and wife Stacy; great grandchildren, Nick Hanna, Mikah Horn, Tom Horn, and Blake Hanna; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Lorene Beene and Johnnie Burkleo.
