Service for Leslie Eugene "Cap" Holly, 88, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 9, 2012 in the Granbury Street Church of Christ. Mr. Roger Stewart will officiate. Committal will follow at 2:00 P.M., Friday, in Nubbin Ridge Cemetery in Hood County. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Richard Wayne Holly, Michael Eugene Holly, Jeremy Dale Howe, Steven Frank Holly, Matthew Lee Wilkin and Hunter Tate Holden. Honorary pallbearers will be C.E. Dobbins and Morris Derting. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home. Leslie "Cap" Holly passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 in Cleburne. He was born in Hood County, TX, on Oct. 31, 1923, to James Roy and Mary (Williams) Holly. He graduated from Granbury High School in Granbury in 1942, served in the Military Infantry in Third Army during World War II in France and Germany. He retired from the Car Department of the A T & S. F. Railroad in 1983 with 33 years of service. He is survived by a son, Lesley Wayne Holly and his wife Kay and two daughters, Becky Withers Wilkin and husband John and Rhonda Holly Holden and husband Rick, all of Cleburne; grandchildren, Ric Holly of Mineral Wells, Mike Holly and wife, Melody of Granbury, Steve Holly and wife Brandy of Alliance, Nebraska, Jeremy Howe, Tammy Howe, Holly Holden Fish and husband Dustin, Hunter Holden and Matthew Lee Wilkin and wife Angie, all of Cleburne and Amanda Ann Wilkin Waddell, and husband Josh, of Ft. Worth; ten great grandchildren, Hope and Stetson Holly, Seth and Alana Holly, Macy and Max Holly, Skyler and Sarah Howe, Amelia Waddell and Emma Wilkin and sister-in-law, Dorothy Holly Wilhoit of New Orleans. He was preceded in death by wife, Jo Ann Bostick Withers; first wife, Louise Sledge; parents, Roy and Mary Holly; brother, Frank Holly; sisters, Rosa Lee Dyer and husband Dick and Effie Mae Umphress and husband Vance R.
