Martha Moon

Martha Moon, 75, of Cleburne passed away Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016 in Ft. Worth. She was born March 23, 1941 in Brazos Point to Lee S. and Florence Powell Mears. She married Jimmie Darrell Moon, Sr. and he preceded her in death in 1983. Mrs. Moon was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed cooking and singing and dancing. Survivors include her son, Jimmie Moon, Jr. and wife Amy and granddaughter, Tiffany Moon, all of Covington; brother, Clyde Mears and wife Doris Jean of Cleburne; niece, Gina Mears; nephews, Ricky Mears, Chad Mears, and Chuck Nelson; and many other relatives and friends who will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Fannie Nelson; nephew, Scott Nelson; and a brother-in-law, Charles Nelson. A private family memorial service will be held on November 12, 2016.
