Service for Martha Hamilton Mahurin, 84, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 28, 2015 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend John Glover will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Goulding, Carter Hayes, Larry Marlar, Clint Lacy, Michael Bock, and Phillip Hawk. Visitation will be from 6-7:30 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home. Martha Hamilton Mahurin passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 in Ft. Worth. She was born January 8, 1931 in Cleburne to Thomas B. and Mary Laura Smith Hamilton. She married William “Bill” Nelton Mahurin on January 1, 1947 in Cleburne and he preceded her in death on May 23, 2010. Mrs. Mahurin worked in retail sales for many years at Montgomery Ward, Sears, JC Penney and Bealls. She loved traveling, gardening, playing bridge, and forty-two, and spending time with family and friends. She was an active member of Field Street Baptist Church. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Brawner and husband Lloyd of Joshua, Cynthia Plonien and husband Jack of Burleson, and Debra Goulding and husband Doug of Alvarado; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Louise Gordon and Betty Boyd; brother, J.B. Hamilton; and twin brother, Arvie Hamilton.
