Graveside service for Mary Frances Applegate, 87, of Blum will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 30, 2014 at Kimball Cemetery in Bosque County. Minister Tim Wilson will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home. Mary Frances Applegate went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 27, 2014. Mary was born June 1, 1927 to Charlie and Ouida Merle Wilson and lived in Blum most of her life. She married Curtis Lee Applegate on February 12, 1946 in Cleburne. Mary Frances was a caring and loving mother to four daughters and two sons, grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Wilson; daughter, Carolyn Faye Hanna; grandson, Brian Applegate; son-in-law, Billy Wayne Langston; and loving husband, Curtis Lee Applegate on October 29, 2008. Mrs. Applegate is survived by daughters, Paula Applegate, Jody Langston, and Wendy and Darren Kimbrell; sons, Weldon and Lawanna Applegate, and Michael Applegate, all of Blum; grandchildren, Rusty and Donna Meyers, Jeff and Lauren Meyers, Marty and Jennifer Penney, Levi Langston, Laci and Randy Allen, Annie and Terry Rutledge, Brodie Ray Moore, Hayden Applegate, Megan and Emory Horn, Maci and Amerin Betteridge, Kason Kimbrell, Carolyn Applegate, and Katelyn Applegate; great grandchildren, Alexis Allen, Skylar Allen, Makenzie Langston, Makenna Langston, Austin Penney, Emma Lee Meyers, Gracie Jo Meyers, Katelyn Meyers, Avery Francis Meyers, Lily Meyers, Riley Rutledge, and Regan Rutledge; sisters, Joanne and W.P. Stafford, Barbara and David Hamel, and Charlene and Gary Davis; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends that will remember her as “Mamaw” The family would like to give a special thanks for all of the kindness and loving care that was given to Mamaw from the nurses and aides of Gentiva Hospice.
