Graveside service for Mary Imogene Gene Hill, 94, of Garland, formerly long-time resident of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 in the Rosehill Cemetery. Mr. Jimmy Wray will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00-7:30 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home. Mrs. Hill passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 in Dallas. She was born May 2, 1918 in Prairie Hill to Mack Noral and Fannie Vester Spruiel Brown. Mrs. Hill was the manager of Business Services for AT&T, retiring with 42 years of service. She was also a long time employee of the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a former member of the Early Bird Kiwanis Club where she was awarded the Lay Person of the Year Award. Gene was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include her son, Paul Allison Hollingsworth and wife Judy of Garland; brother, Jack Brown of Prairie Hill; sister, Frenchie Cross and husband George of Waco; three grandchildren, Julie, Jeff and Jenifer; five great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Juanita Black.
