Memorial services for Mary Elizabeth Matthews, 65, of Alvarado, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Hillside Baptist Church, Alvarado. Mrs. Matthews was born on May 18, 1946 in Billings, Montana to Manuel and Agnes McFadden. She passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012 in Fort Worth. Mary was a member of Hillside Baptist Church, Alvarado Chamber of Commerce, and TOPS of Alvarado. She worked as a receivables clerk in the carpet business for 20 years. Mary married Jim Matthews on July 10, 1992 in Billings, Montana. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Jim Matthews of Alvarado; children and their spouses, Kandice Lowery and Gene, Brenda Pishke, and Brian Phillips all of Billings, Montana, Jamie Willoughby and Chuck of North Carolina, Ray Matthews of Wylie, and Cora Moon and J.R. of Garland; numerous grandchildren and one great grandchild; sister, Donalda Bittick of Billings, Montana; and a host of other relatives and friends.
