Graveside service for Melbie Jones, 85, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 31, 2014 in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Jones Jr., Ricky Jones, Ronny Hall, Ricky Jones Jr., Gordon Hall, and Billy Hall. No set visitation is scheduled. Melbie Jones passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in Cleburne. She was born April 29, 1929 in Henderson, Texas to Henry Marbie and Bessie Mae Osborne Jones. Miss Jones worked at Snow White Laundry for more than 20 years. She was a wonderful cook. Simple things meant the most to her, such as sitting outside on her porch watching the cats. Miss Jones was of the Pentecostal faith. Her love for the Lord and her family will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her brother, Joe Jones and former wife Joane Shubert; nieces and nephews that were like her own children, Joe Jones Jr., Ricky Jones, Ronny Hall, Steve Hall, Gordon Hall, Billy Hall, and Judy Stanton; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Edna Beam and T9cy Hall; and a brother, Ruben Sol Jones.
