Mitchel Monroe Spears

Services for Mitchel Spears, 88, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 21, 2020 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Charles Payne and Reverend Neale Oliver will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Monday, July 20, 2020 at the funeral home. Mitchel Spears passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 in Cleburne. He was born September 3, 1931 in Cohoma, Texas to Johnny Samuels and Vera Alice (Hale) Spears. He married Willie Mae Temple on March 25, 1950 in Cleburne. He had 45 years of service as a carman for the Santa Fe Railroad. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include his sons, Mike Spears and wife Vickie of Cleburne and Gary Don Spears and wife Juli of Granbury; grandchildren, Kevin, Kristi, Gina, Stephen and Brandi; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a sister, Glenna Jean West of Cleburne. Preceding him in death were his wife Willie Mae Spears on March 16, 2018; and sister, Yvonne Hobson. The funeral service will be live streamed on YouTube. Search Crosier-Pearson Cleburne.
