Neal Brinkley

Service for Neal Brinkley, 63, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Mark Ely will officiate. Burial will be in Bono Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Guin, Glenn Hall, Chad Jones, Terry Engle, Billy McVicker, Curtis Lightfoot, Casey Jones and Charles Strickland. Honorary pallbearers will be Loyd Brawner, Eugene Brawner, Steve Curlee and Randy King. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. Mr. Brinkley passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 in Ft. Worth. He was born July 14, 1948 in Cleburne to Odell and Cordia Kathleen Crowley Brinkley. He married Mary Wanda Jones on April 2, 1966 in Ft. Worth. Mr. Brinkley was an automotive mechanic and a member of College Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Mary Brinkley of Cleburne; two daughters, Amy Wylie and Joy Brinkley Sanchez; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister, Norma Walls and husband Wayne; brothers, Wayne Brinkley and Robert Brinkley; a number of nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Angel Steger on May 30, 2006; two brothers, Bud Brinkley and Garland Brinkley and one sister, Rita Ward.
