Nina Witherspoon

Services for Nina Witherspoon, 84, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 3, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow at 3:30 P.M. in the Gethsemane Cemetery, Caddo, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6-8:00 P.M. on Monday, December 2, 2013. Mrs. Witherspoon passed away Sunday, December 01, 2013 at her home in Cleburne. She was born to John Harrison and Josie Belle Dollar Joines on February 2, 1929 in Caddo, Oklahoma. She married T.J. Witherspoon on January 30, 1948 in Howe, Texas. Nina worked as an attendance clerk with the L.D. Bell High School for a number of years. She was a member of the Cleburne Church of the Nazarene. Her grandchildren brought the biggest joy to her life. She enjoyed gathering and shelling pecans in her spare time. Her loving nature and giving spirit will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Nina is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Survivors include her sons, David Witherspoon and wife, Debbie, Clint Witherspoon and wife, Sheri, and Billy Witherspoon and wife, Stacey; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Johnny Ray Joines, sister in law, Sarah Jo Joines; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
