Service for O.B. Hicks, Jr., 87, of Fort Worth, will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, August, 15, 2015 in Greenacres Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home. O.B. Hicks, Jr. passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in Fort Worth. He was born November 25, 1927 in Cleburne to Oscar Bell, Sr. and Dovie Carolina Pettigrew Hicks. He married Susan Jane Parris on August 1, 1974 in Ft. Worth. Mr. Hicks served in the United States Army and also in the United States Navy. He worked as a manager of a meat market until retirement. Survivors include his wife, Susan Hicks, of Fort Worth; daughter, Paula Elaine Bodine and husband Kenneth Lee, of Fort Worth; sons, Ricky Dale Hicks and Perry Don Hicks, both of Arlington; stepdaughter, Rhonda Sue Cruce, of Richland Hills; brother, Marshall Hicks, Sr. and wife Barbara of Cleburne; sisters, Estelle Doty of Cleburne, Pauline Dykes of Dallas, and Jean Find of Freeport; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward and William Hicks; and four sisters, Shirley Ann Peterson, Ada Lee Miller, Anna Bell Howell, and Billie Youell.
