Service for Opal Herrington, 82, of Mineral Wells will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Monday, November 10, 2014 at Bono Baptist Church. The Reverend Kevin Bentley will officiate. Burial will be in Bono Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Blaine Hicks, Stephen “Bo” Wimbish, Bryan Bagley, Douglas Hudman, and Steve Wimbish. Honorary pallbearer will be Johnny Ferguson. Visitation will be from 2-4:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home. Opal Herrington passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014 in Mineral Wells. She was born August 8, 1932 in Leon, Oklahoma to Demetrious Steward and Ora Lee Johnson Parsley. She married George Hugh Herrington on January 31, 1954 in Abilene and he preceded her in death on December 4, 2001. Mrs. Herrington was a homemaker and a reservation clerk for Greyhound Bus Lines, with more than 11 years of service. She was a member of Bono Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Inzer of Mineral Wells, and Laura Hicks and husband Blaine of Grapevine; four grandchildren, Stephenie Bowen, Jessica Bagley and husband Bryan, Stephen “Bo” Wimbish and Lauren Wimbish; and two great grandchildren, Dyllan Bowen and Jacob Bagley. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Paula Cowan in 2005.
