Service for Patsy Ruth Ballard, 80, of Grandview, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday June 17, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Brother Donny Fulton will officiate. Committal will be at 3:30 P.M. in Powers Chapel Cemetery in Rosebud. Pallbearers will be Shawn Finnigan, David Simmons, Larry Simmons, Darrell Ballard, Charles Ballard, Michael Lowe, Matthew Marmon and Gene Marmon. Honorary pallbearer will be Jeremy Marmon. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home. Patsy Ruth Ballard passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013 in Grandview. She was born April 10, 1933 in Rosebud to John and Lodema Weaver Garrett. She married Eugene Ballard on June 5, 1948 in Cameron and he preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 1991. Mrs. Ballard was a home healthcare aide and a member of New Salem Baptist Church near Rosebud. Survivors include her son, Darrell Ballard and wife Linda of Springtown; daughters, Patricia Simmons and husband Floyd of Grandview, Cathy Finnigan Burt and husband Doug of Azle, Carol Jordan of Springtown and Peggy McIlvanie and husband Jeff of Whitney; 15 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren; brother John Garrett Jr. and wife Kaye of Benbrook and a host of other relatives and friends.
