Service for Paula Jean Scarber, 83, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, January 30, 2017 at the Calvary Baptist Church, Cleburne. The Reverend Charles Payne, Reverend Brooks Monk and Reverend Donnie Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Paula Jean Scarber passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2017 in Cleburne. She was born October 7, 1933 in Anton to Paul and Dora Wright Tibbets. She married James Scarber on July 11, 1992 in Cleburne. She worked at Chaf-Inn Restaurant for many years and was a faithful and hardworking member of Calvary Baptist Church. Paula Jean Scarber is survived by her husband of 24 years, James Scarber of Cleburne; daughter, Dianne Herrell and husband Larry; sons, Earl Scarber and wife Debbie, Robert Scarber and wife Tina and Jimmy Scarber and wife Judy; brother, Derrral Tibbets and wife Claire; sister, Linda McNeece and husband George; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She is preceded by her first husband, Charles Thurmon (1990); two sons, Jerry Davis and Jeff Davis and two brothers, LeRoy and Jimmy Tibbets.
