Peggy Jones

Peggy Joyce Jones, 81, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 in Burleson, Texas. She was born January 16, 1933 in Columbus, Georgia to Malcolm Parker and Lillian Beatrice Whigham Weaver. She married Thomas Edward Jones on December 22, 1949 and he preceded her in death in November 2006. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and worked for Sears and Roebuck Company for more than 15 years. She was president of the VFW No. 7674 Women’s Auxiliary in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida for several years. Mrs. Jones volunteered with the “Pink Ladies” for the hospital there and also for a local nursing home in Ft. Walton Beach. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer G. Mullin; sons, Thomas E. Jones Jr. “Tom” and Richard Jones; grandchildren, Matthew Evans, Natalie Barton and Jake Mullin. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Vitas Hospice and Covenant Place in Burleson for all of their compassionate and loving care of Mrs. Jones.
