Service for Peggy Pemberton, 78 of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014 in the Westhill Church of Christ. Mr. Kern Porter will officiate. Burial will be in the Vaughan Cemetery in Hill County, with Mr. Glenn Gray officiating at graveside. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Mrs. Pemberton passed away Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014 in Cleburne. She was born May 13, 1936 in Colbert, OK to Robert George and Mary Leta Little Hatter. Peggy married Cecil Glennelle Pemberton on July 25, 1958 in Abilene. She graduated from Abilene Christian College and was a member of the Westhill Church of Christ. Mrs. Pemberton is survived by her husband, Cotton Pemberton of Cleburne; daughter, Margie Freeman and husband Sidney of Lake Whitney; son, Dr. Glenn Pemberton and wife Dr. Dana Pemberton of Abilene; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie Cox and husband Milford, Novella Anderson and sister in law, Tempe Hatter.
