Mrs. Stewart passed away in Fort Worth on Saturday, April 5, 2014. She was born to Peter James and Mamie Corrigan Patton on May 31, 1945 in Glasgow, Scotland. Phyllis married James Stewart on October 16, 1984 in San Angelo, Texas. She worked in law enforcement for over 30 years and was of the Christian faith. Phyllis’ love and devotion to animals went above and beyond. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, James Stewart; Step daughter, Natalie Fenton; sisters, Eleanor McAree, Elizabeth Hobbs, and Margaret Turner numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends both in the United States and Scotland.
