Randy Dale Dumas, 66, of Rio Vista, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020 in Rio Vista. He was born June 25, 1953 in Hillsboro to A.O. and Jaunita (Brooks) Dumas. He married Darlene Dickson in Austin on August 2, 1976. Mr. Dumas was a water plant supervisor with over 23 years in plant operations. His passion for cooking led him to owning two restaurants. Randy loved his family and spending time with his grandkids. He also was passionate about fishing and hunting. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Dumas of Rio Vista; sons, Erik Dumas and wife Julie of Cleburne and Jason Dumas and wife Monika of Rio Vista; grandchildren, Hanna Holt and husband Kyle of Burleson, Pvt. Ryan Dumas of Georgia, Dylan Dumas of Rio Vista, Michael Dumas of Cleburne, Zachary Dumas of Cleburne and Danny Dumas of Rio Vista; brother, Billy Dumas and wife Patsy of Burleson; sister, Gail Monte and husband Rick Franklin of De Soto; nephew, Larry Dumas of Burleson; niece, Emily Anne Thomason and husband Josh of Melbourne, Florida; and great-nephew, Rynn Thomason of Melbourne, Florida. Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Harold Dumas. Memorials made be made to Grange Hall Cemetery Association; PO Box 592; Rio Vista, TX 76093. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
