Service for Randy Ladell Gillespie, 58, of Grandview will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 9, 2013 in the First Baptist Church of Rio Vista. The Reverend Neale Oliver and Mr. Louis Marino will officiate. Pallbearers will be Byron Cobb, Butch Hackler, Jeff Allen, Paul Allen, Steve Wylie, Dale Bowersox, David Garcia and Josh Fahey. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-9:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Randy Ladell Gillespie entered the Lords Kingdom on Sunday, May 5, 2013 in Grandview. He was born December 3, 1954 in Ft. Worth to Raymond Wallace and Mary Frances Brown Gillespie. He married Dora Elva Gutierrez on Valentines Day in Cleburne. Randy retired from Johns Manville after a 39 year career. He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, basketball and baseball. He enjoyed the country life, raising chickens and making friendships everywhere he went. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife, Dora Elva Gillespie; daughters, Randa Johnson, Rachel Gillespie and Amanda Lee Trevino; sons, Randall Wallace Gillespie, Isaac Trevino and Johnny Trevino and wife Tonia; grandchildren, Reanna Johnson, Shelbi Johnson, Brittany Cobb and husband Roger, Katelyn Weaver and husband Mike, Arwen Ochoa and Isabella and Gabriella Trevino; sister, June and husband Frank Laubenthal; brother, Jerry and wife Rosemary Gillespie; and nephew, Adam McDonald.
