Service for Reverend William Earl Harris, Sr., 93, of Cleburne will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Monday, November 27, 2017 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Tom McNutt will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home. Reverend Harris passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 in Cleburne. He was born January 23, 1924 in Emmet, Arkansas to Robert and Lora Lorena West Harris. He married Dorothy Powel on September 23, 1945 in Lecompte, Louisiana. Reverend Harris was an ordained minister and worked in insurance sales until retirement. He loved the Lord and his family. He was of the Nazarene faith. Survivors include his beloved wife of 72 years, Dorothy Powel Harris of Cleburne; children, William Harris, Jr. and wife Carol of Lipan and Sheila Collier and husband Jimmy of Cleburne; grandchildren, John Dana Harris, Jana Scallan, Andrea Petty, Amy Anderson and April Hatcher; numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Ewell, Glen, Leon and Paul Ray Harris; one sister, Verna May Harris Prather and countless nieces, nephews and friends.
