Robert Glen Stewart, 78, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in Cleburne. He was born September 24, 1938 in East Detroit, Michigan to Brownlow Franklin and Hazel Olean Bean Stewart. He married Bessie LaVerne Ward on January 27, 1973 in Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Stewart served proudly in the United States Marine Corp and was a self-employed landscaper. He was of the Church of Christ faith. Survivors include his beloved wife of 44 years, LaVerne Stewart of Cleburne, Texas; daughter, Tami Smith and husband Jerry of Rowlett, Texas; granddaughter, Brooke Marolt and husband Miles of Castle Rock, Colorado; great granddaughter, Nichole Marolt of Castle Rock, Colorado; sister, Geraldine Burris of Fraser, Michigan; brother, James Stewart and wife Barbara of New Baltimore, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Stewart; and sisters, Linda Mitchell and Shirley Berkseth. Inurnment will be in the DFW National Cemetery on Friday, October, 27, 2017 at 3:00 P.M.
