Graveside service for Robert Nicholas McGuire, 88, of Mesquite will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 5, 2017 in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11-12:00 Noon on Wednesday, at the funeral home, prior to the service. Robert Nicholas McGuire passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in Dallas. He was born Oct. 15, 1928 in Cleburne to Nicholas and Genevieve McGuire. He married Coy McGuire in Dec. of 1967 in Mesquite and she preceded him in death on Aug. 28, 1995. Mr. McGuire served in the United States Army and was an insurance vice-president before retiring. He was a loving husband, father, brother and a friend to many. Survivors include his daughter, Lillie Ann Starkes of Mesquite; and several other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Louise Polson.
