Service for Ruby Burnett, 98, of Rio Vista will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, February 15, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Karl Jones and Mr. Perry Burnett will officiate. Burial will be in Rio Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Perry Burnett, Matt Burnett, Jon Burnett, Jeff Williams, Marty McPherson, Steve Lehman and Jim Lewis. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home. Mrs. Burnett passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in Cleburne. She was born March 31, 1915 in Hill County to Henry Lee and Cora Ann Summers Hall. She married Martin Troy Burnett on February 2, 1935 in Hill County and he preceded her in death in 1990. Mrs. Burnett was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her four children, Pat Johnson and husband Clint of Pueblo, CO, Troy Burnett and wife Pat of Burleson, Peggy Williams and husband Larry of Cleburne and Mike Burnett of Rio Vista; 13 grandchildren, Kim Johnson Eoff and husband Ben of Fayetteville, AK, Kevin Johnson and wife Mary Ann of Pueblo, Co, Kris Johnson of Denver, CO, Kelly Johnson Harris and husband Randy of Tuscaloosa, AL, Karen Williams McPherson and husband Marty of Glen Rose, Jeff Williams of Cleburne, Perry Burnett and wife Bambi of Alvarado, Pam Burnett Lehman and husband Steve of Houston, Sherri Burnett Lewis and husband Jim of Burleson, Jon Burnett and wife Courtney of Washington, DC, Matt Burnett and wife Melissa of Nashville, TN, Jennifer Burnett of Cleburne and Melissa Jayne Burnett of Commerce; 25 great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Novella Phearson of Cleburne. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Cora Hall; and a grandson, Doug Williams. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
