Service for Sam Hale Jr., 78, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Don Worlow will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Sam Hale Jr. passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014 in Grandview. He was born February 25, 1936 in Durant, OK to Sam Oval, Sr. and Lilly Taylor Hale. He married Dorothy May Newsome on September 11, 1955 in Cleburne. Mr. Hale worked as an automotive mechanic at Albertsons and Cleburne ISD. He was a very outgoing person who had a love of laughter and strived to make others laugh. He also enjoyed fishing. Sam was of the Baptist faith. His love for his family and life will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife of almost 59 years, Dorothy Hale; children, Tommy Williams and wife Rita and Willie Fleece and wife, Melinda; four grandchildren, six, great grandchildren; sister, Johnnie Ashworth; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Dolores Williams; and sister, Jean Taylor.
