Service for Sandie Taylor, 57, of Cleburne will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 in the Field Street Baptist Church. The Reverend Larry York will officiate. Private family committal will follow. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home. Sandie Taylor passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 in Ft. Worth. She was born Dec. 25, 1954 in Cleburne to James Frank and Iris Irene Head Woodard. Sandie was a 1973 graduate of Cleburne High School. She started working at the Cowpasture Bank at age 17 and continued at the Cowpasture Bank for over 25 years. She was one of the original employees of Grandview Bank Cleburne that was opened in 1999 and was currently a vice president of Grandview Bank where she received the employee of the month award. She became an ambassador for the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce in July 2001. In 2003 she received the Wall of Fame award, the Gold Cup award in 2006 and in 2011 the Athena Award. She served on numerous committees for the Chamber of Commerce which included the annual banquet, Taste of Cleburne, and the golf tournament, as well as numerous other civic functions. Sandie's passion and love for event planning, decorating and cooking will truly be missed by all. Survivors include her son, Josh Taylor of Houston; daughter, Jenna Taylor of New Orleans, LA; mother, Irene Woodard of Cleburne; father, Jim Woodard of Alvarado; two sisters, Melinda Jaggars and husband Monty of Rio Vista and Lori Marin and husband Jeff of Plano; numerous aunts, uncles and a special aunt and uncle, Arlene and Charles Davis of Keene; two nieces, Monika Dumas and husband Jason of Rio Vista and Melani Ringer and husband Craig of Rio Vista; three great nephews and one great niece which she loved dearly and her companion and special friend, Cecil Winters of Boyd.
