Visitation for Sarah Maldonado Contreras, 80, of Cleburne will be conducted from 2:00-4:00 P.M., Saturday, July 20, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home. Sarah Maldonado Contreras passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 in Ft. Worth. She was born Oct. 30, 1932 in La Grange to Ed and Mary Cadena Maldonado. She married Bernardino Benny Flores on Sept. 21, 1995 in Colorado Springs, CO. Mrs. Contreras worked as a restaurant cook for more than 50 years, until her retirement. She also enjoyed cooking in the churches and feeding the homeless. She had a loving personality and a giving spirit that touched everyone she met. As soon as you met Sarah, you fell in love with her. She was of the Christian faith. Survivors include her husband, Benny Flores; sons, Eddie Contreras and wife Mary Ann and David Contreras and wife Brenda; daughters, Mona Gonzales, Mary Contreras and husband Johnny and Connie Garcia and husband Phil; brother, Fernando Maldonado and wife Maxine; sister, Frances Junk; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Mary Maldonado; first husband, Manuel G. Contreras Sr.; son, Manuel Jr. Contreras Meme; sisters, Pillar Ibanez and husband Fred, and Nettie Terrazas and husband Pete and a brother, Raymond Maldonado.
