Services for Sarah Mae Cheek Duke, 69, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 1, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Brother Tim Vass will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Allen Brewer, Caleb Deen, Mikey Clinkscales, Jimmy Crawford, Logan Duke and Christopher Deen. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Sarah Mae Cheek Duke went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 27, 2014. She was born August 28, 1944 in Copeville to Sidney and Vegia Mildred Brown Cheek. She married James Harold Duke on October 22, 1959 in McKinney. Mrs. Duke was a homemaker. Survivors include her loving husband, James Harold Duke of Cleburne; three children, Rhonda and Chris Deen, Vegia and Jimmy Crawford, and Bubba and Terri Duke; all of Cleburne; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three brothers; one sister; and numerous nieces and nephews, friends and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Vegia Cheek; infant son, James H. Jr.; and two brothers.
