Graveside services for Shirley Johnson, 75, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in the Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Monday. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Grandview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 301 West Criner, Grandview, Texas 76050. Mrs. Johnson passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 in Cleburne. She was born to Oran and Ethelyne Sullins McClure on November 26, 1939 in Milford, Texas. Shirley married C.J. Johnson, Jr. on July 24, 1970 in Durant, Oklahoma. She was of the Baptist faith. Shirley was a strong willed lady with an independent spirit. She was dedicated to her family. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds, especially sewing, crocheting and painting. Shirley volunteered weekly in the beauty shop at Grandview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was an avid classic country music fan and animal lover. Her love for life and giving nature will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Shirley is preceded in death by her father and husband. Survivors include her mother, Ethelyne McClure; children, Steve Williams and wife, Casey, Della Jewett and husband, Steve, Roger Johnson and wife, Carrol, Roy Johnson and wife, Robin, Darlene Johnson, and Paula Bustillos and husband, Arturo; 23 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends, including her beloved dogs, Gypsy, Stretch and Mona.
