Shirley Roach

Shirley Roach, 81, of Cleburne passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 in Ft. Worth. She was born December 2, 1933 in Morris, Illinois to Arnold Byrd and Irma Lucille Harold Whitecotten. She married William Albert Roach in 1951 in Illinois and he preceded her in death on January 7, 2009. Mrs. Roach worked as a retail sales clerk at Sears for many years. She enjoyed crafts and going to garage sales. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her sons, William L “Bill” Roach and wife Sherri of Aledo and Dennis Roach and wife Jackie of Cleburne; daughter, Debra Martin of Cleburne; ten grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brothers, Ralph and Dick Whitecotten of Illinois; sister, Beverly Malkey of Illinois; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Roberta Whitecotten; brothers, Robert, Jack, and William “Bill” Whitecotten; infant great granddaughter, Brooke Madison Castillo; daughter, Cathy Grim; and sisters, Sue Nagy and Mary Gerard. A memorial service will be conducted from 1-5:00 P.M., Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 610 Euclid Street in Cleburne. Inurnment will be a later date at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.
