Graveside service for Shirley A. Smith, 78, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00a.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in the Georges Creek Cemetery in Somervell County. Mr. Darrell Hightower will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00a.m.-10:30a.m. at the funeral home, prior to the graveside. Mrs. Smith passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 in Cleburne. She was born Oct. 15, 1935 in Fort Spunky in Somervell County to Herman and Faye Lorene Cheek Henslee. She married Durwood Smith on April 22, 1950 in Cleburne and he preceded her in death on Mar. 14, 2002. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of the New Life Church in Cleburne. Mrs. Smith is survived by two daughters, Durlene Seals of Cleburne and Kathy Mayer of Cleburne; three brothers, Kenneth Henslee and wife Sharon of Cleburne, Jimmy Henslee of Ft. Worth and Donny Henslee and wife Janis of Rio Vista; daughter in law, Helen Smith of Burleson; five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, C.P. and Herman Henslee, sister, Barbara Watson, two sons, Walter Smith in 1995 and Rickie Smith in 2013.
