A memorial visitation for Steve Doty, 53, of Cleburne will be conducted from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, December 5, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Final interment will be in DFW National Cemetery in Dallas at a later date. Steve Doty passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in Cleburne. He was born March 9, 1961 in Olney, Texas to Sherrill Duane and Karen Kay Moss Doty. Mr. Doty attended Rio Vista schools and graduated from Cleburne High School in 1979. He served in Thailand and Saudi Arabia as an Embassy Guard in the United States Marine Corp. and was very proud of his eight years of military service. He was a member of Blum Church of Christ. Survivors include his mother, Karen Doty of Cleburne; brothers, Tim Doty and wife Susan of Rio Vista and Mike Doty of Tucson, Arizona; nieces and nephews, Jeff Doty and wife Lesandra of Amarillo, Michelle Gill and husband Andy of Rio Vista, Dylan Doty and Corbyn Doty, both of Tucson, Arizona; and numerous aunts and uncles; caregiver, Tracy Wassil; helpful neighbor, Robert Campbell and longtime friend, Andy Wildhaber. He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Carleton Doty; maternal grandparents, Sam and Belinda Moss; and a sister-in-law, Richelle Doty.
