Service for Steve LaFountain, 61, of Grandview will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 3, 2015 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Minister Jimmy Jones, Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery in Alvarado. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home. Steve LaFountain passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 in Grandview. He was born May 28, 1953 in Potsdam, New York to Joseph and Edith Messenger LaFountain. He married Linda Arlene Drew on November 21, 1970 in East Rochester, New York. Mr. LaFountain was a commercial truck driver. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Linda LaFountain of Grandview; children, Scott LaFountain and wife Melinda of Cleburne, Annette LaFountain and husband Albert Stapp of Grandview, Brad LaFountain and wife Carrie of Cleburne, and Greg LaFountain and wife Lanna of Alvarado; 13 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; six siblings, Robert LaFountain, Andy LaFountain, twins, Joanna Klock and John LaFountain, Ronald LaFountain, and Dorothy LaFountain; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson, Layton LaFountain.
