Service for Thomas “Tom” Ray Hunter, 84, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 14, 2016 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Ken Coleman will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Thomas Rees, Brent Martin, Cody Martin, Daniel Rees, Jay Martin, and Becca Brister. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Thomas “Tom” Ray Hunter passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 in Cleburne. He was born May 14, 1932 in Southmayd to James Otey and Elizabeth Crawford Hunter. He married Flossie Cappers in 2003 and she preceded him in death in 2012. Tom served in the United States Army and was a carpenter and a farmer. He was of the Baptist faith. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his children, Elizabeth Martindale and husband Roy, Kathy Brister and husband Greg, and Alicia Martin and husband Gary; grandchildren, Thomas Rees, Brent Martin and wife Lauren, Cody Martin, Daniel Rees and wife Monique, Jay Martin, and Becca Brister; sisters, Pauline Thornton and Johnnie Stone; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
