Funeral services for Virginia Williams Moore, 84, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday. Mrs. Moore passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014 in Cleburne. She was born to L.J. and Jeannette Cherry Henslee on May 7, 1930 in Merkel, Texas. She married Jessie Faine Williams in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1957. In 1960 she married Henry G. Moore who preceded her in death in 2013. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Virginia worked at Rangaire and later as a seamstress with Texell for a number of years. She was never late to work nor missed a day during her working years. Virginia loved sewing, especially quilting, crocheting, and needle point. She and Henry raised her children along with many nieces and nephews. They were active in the lives of those that they loved. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially in her younger years. Virginia was an avid collector of dolls, birds and other collectibles. Garage sales were a favorite pastime of hers when her mother was living and they were able to go together. Virginia’s love of family and her giving nature will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; and brother, Carroll Henslee. Survivors include her sons, Bill Williams and wife, Jean, and Milton Williams and wife, Saundra; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; siblings, Ruby Woodard, Zelma Boyles, James Henslee, and L.C. Henslee; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
