Service for Weldon T. Hanson, 90, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 8, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend F.L. Ashley, Reverend Mike Watts and Reverend Alta Oakley will officiate. Interment will be at 2:00 PM Saturday in Restland Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Bryan Linton, Robby Watson, Steven Ebarb, Troy Watson, Clay Dyer, Larry Dyer and Larry Money. Weldon T. Hanson was born December 1, 1923 in Glen Rose to Hans Christian and Gennetta Hanna Hanson. He married Bernice Marchman on July 5, 1946 in Cleburne; she preceded him in death on April 5, 1979. He married Mary Virginia Brenigar on June 20, 1981 in Dallas; she preceded him in death on March 9, 2011. Mr. Hanson was a staff sergeant serving in the US Army during World War II. He was owner and operator of Hanson Drywall for over 40 years and was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church in Cleburne. He also was the Honorary Mayor of Goat Neck. Weldon Hanson is survived by his daughter, Janis Linton and husband Jimmy of Cleburne; three grandchildren, Robby Watson and wife, Teresa of Balch Springs; Amy Ebarb of Cleburne and Bryan Linton and wife, Tammy of Benbrook; seven great-grandchildren, Kristy, Misty, Troy, Jaci, Tiffany, Steven and Sydney; one great-great-grandchild, Mary Jane; sister, Ruby Christie of Burleson; brother, Robert Hanson of Fort Worth and numerous nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends and loved ones. He was preceded in the death by his parents; his wives, Bernice and Mary; daughter, Sandra Hanson in 2009; son, Alford Hanson, 2010; three brothers, Homer, Orville and Ollie Hanson and six sisters, Opal Jolly, Gladys Dyer, Dorothy Dyer, Willa Mae Bullard, Bernice Davis and Leona Bullard.
