Service for Willard M. “Bill” Thetford, 89, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in the Calvary Baptist Church. The Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate, assisted by the Reverend Brooks Monk. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, at the funeral home. Bill Thetford passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 in Ft. Worth. He was born Sept. 1, 1926 in Marysville to James Edgar and Dollie Magdelene Lyons Thetford. He married Dorothy Heine on Feb. 2, 1945 in Alvarado. Mr. Thetford worked as a carman for the Santa Fe Railroad, retiring with 38 years of service and he served as a Deacon at Calvary Baptist Church for 51 years. Survivors include his beloved wife of 71 years, Dorothy Thetford of Cleburne; son, Jon Thetford and wife, Kim of Cleburne; grandson, Jeffrey Thetford; great grandson, Kristopher Camden Thetford; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Kristopher Ryan Thetford on Aug. 21, 2000; brothers, Wesley, J.W., and Alfreda; and a sister, Imogene Roden.
