Services for William Rickie Smith, 60, of Rio Vista will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Ruben Delany will officiate. Burial will be in Georges Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. William Rickie Smith passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, in Johnson County. He was born April 30, 1953, in Cleburne to Durwood E. and Shirley Alite Henslee Smith. He married Helen Ruth Clark on March 14, 2009, in Cleburne. Mr. Smith served his country in the Unites States Navy. He worked as an assistant manager with 14 years of service at Corona South Plumbing and Electrical Supply Co. He was a member of Cleburne Masonic Lodge No. 315 and New Life Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Helen Smith of Rio Vista; mother, Shirley Smith of Cleburne; daughters, RaShaunda Johnson and husband, Ronnie, of Burleson and Christina Osborne and husband, Brandon, of Cleburne; step-sons, Brandon Hutchison and wife, Brooke, and Lane Hutchison, all of Rio Vista; step-daughter, Caitlin Hutchison of Rio Vista; five grandchildren, Tristian Smith, Jacie Johnson, Zane Osborne, Makaela Osborne and Brantley Hutchison; and sisters, Durlene Seals and Kathy Mayer, both of Cleburne. He was preceded in death by his father, Durwood Smith, and a brother, Walter Smith.
