Service for Willie Roden, 88, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 28, 2015 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Ferris Akins will officiate, assisted by the Reverend Mark Ely. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M., Saturday, at the funeral home, prior to the service. Willie Roden passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in Cleburne. She was born October 31, 1926 in Russellville, Kentucky to Clarence and Ester Brooks Patterson. She married Ben Franklin Roden on November 13, 1942 in Nashville, Tennessee and he preceded her in death on May 28, 1979. Mrs. Roden was a homemaker and had worked for the CISD in the school cafeteria for many years. She loved her family and was a member of College Heights Baptist Church. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her children, Ronnie Roden and wife Barbara of Spring and Scott Roden and wife Gay of Cleburne; seven grandchildren, Gregg Roden and wife Suzanne of Frisco, Lori Clifton and husband Scott of El Campo, Leslie Pitts and husband John of Houston, John Roden, Lee Roden, Ross Green and wife Cinthia and Barrett Green, all of Cleburne; five great grandchildren, Reagan Roden, Ally Roden, Trent Roden, Ben Clifton, and Lily Kate Roden; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and several siblings.
