Funeral services for Verna Ruth Wood, 88, of Crowley, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Larry Schneider officiating. Burial will follow in Keene Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2017 at Rosser Funeral Home. Ms. Wood passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 in Crowley. She was born in Collegedale, Tenn. on November 17, 1928, the daughter of Ruth (Gill) and Felix Wade. Ms. Wood was a registered nurse and was a member of the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. Ms. Wood is survived by her daughters, Lisa Whiteley of Fort Worth, Texas and Tami Barroso and husband, John, of Keene, Texas; son, Cole Wood of Fort Worth and sister, Joy Cooper and husband, Tony, of Keene; niece, Kelli Jamison and husband, Bryan; grandchildren, Cristen Ladusau, Ashley Rudolfo, Cole Wood, Jr., Catherine Kiker,0 Bryan Kiker, Tony Zambrano, Austin Zambrano and Lucas Zambrano; and great grandchildren, Luke and Matthew Ladusau and Salem Wood.
