Joan Marie Dymand-Hintz Obituary

Joan Dymand-Hintz passed away peacefully with family by her side on April 27 at age 53 after a courageous battle with cancer. Joan was born in Watford City, ND, on February 12, 1964 to Marv and Kathy (Kilzer) Knoll. She grew up with her three brothers, Dave, Ron, and Sean, in Dickinson, N.D. Joan graduated from Dickinson High School in 1982, where she participated in sports, drama, band, choir, and pageants; being named Miss Dickinson and Miss ND National Teenager. She attended Dickinson State College and in 1986, moved to San Jose, CA where she met and married Steve Dymand on Oct. 1st, 1989. They moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 1993 and had two wonderful boys, Jack and Reid. In 2007, Joan married her junior high sweetheart, Marc Hintz, in Dickinson, ND. On March 12, 2008 Joan and Marc were blessed with their beautiful daughter, Elle Marie Faith. In 2011 they moved to Texas where they currently reside. Joan was an amazing daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend. She had an infectious spirit and a gift to make everyone around her feel incredibly loved and special. She brightened a room with her beautiful smile and infectious laugh. Joan made friends everywhere, and always stayed connected with them to share life’s joy. Music was a cornerstone of Joan’s dynamic spirit! She spread her joy of singing and dancing wherever she went, most often leading to impromptu performances whether it was solo or sitting in with an unsuspecting band. If you were fortunate enough to have met her then you experienced the magic that so many will never forget. Joan’s love, grace, and beautiful spirit will live on through her children, Jack, Reid, and Elle, and all those she touched. Joan is survived by her husband, Marc, her children, Jack, Reid, and Elle, her parents Marv (Gloria) Knoll and Kathy Knoll, her brothers Dave (Joan), Ron (Lori), and Sean (Julie), and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2:00PM at Corley Funeral Home in Corsicana, Texas.
