Lou Ann Allen Parks, 71, of Corsicana, TX passed away at Navarro Regional Hospital on Saturday, June 22, 2019 after a five-year battle with cancer. She was born in Corsicana, TX to Charles Bellringer and Mary Lou Land on October 18, 1947. Lou Ann married her high school sweetheart, Bill Allen, on June 1, 1968 at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Bill loved Lou Ann until his death in 2003. She married Don B. Parks on August 10, 2015 after an eight year courtship. Don stayed by her side until the end. Lou Ann is preceded in death by her first husband, William Deen Allen; her mother Mary Lou Budai; her father Emory Budai and her step-son Chase Parks. Lou Ann is survived by her husband, Don Parks. Also, she is survived by her daughter Maggie Allen Bomberger and her husband Chris; son Matthew Deen Allen and his wife Joann; step-son Todd Parks and her sister Susie Ballew Ellis and husband Buddy; her niece Michelle Safewright and nephew Michael Ballew. Lou Ann has seven beautiful grandchildren Bethany Stone (22), Skylar Bomberger (20), Joshua Stone (18), Isabella Allen (14), Austin Bomberger (10), Gabriella Allen (6), and William Allen (2). Lou Ann graduated with the Class of 1966 from Corsicana High School and went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in business from East Texas State University in Commerce, TX where she was a member of the Alpa Phi sorority. Lou Ann was a Christian and long-standing member of St. John’s Episcopal Church where she served on the alter guild for many years, she also served on the vestry and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Lou Ann and her husband Bill returned to Corsicana in 1978 where they founded Law Enforcement Systems, Inc. (LES) and she worked until her retirement. She enjoyed going to LES every day with her beloved employees (and their pets) who she considered family. In 2010 she received the “Woman of the Year” award from the American Business Women’s Association in Corsicana which she was very proud of. Lou Ann enjoyed traveling with family and friends and especially loved her Land Family reunions. She took up golf late in life and bragged that she had the highest handicap at the club for many years in a row. She was a very special person to all that knew her and could turn the world on with her smile. The family extends a very special thanks to her caretakers Norma Ruiz and Leticia Polo along with Dr. Kent Rogers who’s excellent and loving care made Lou Ann’s final years secure and comfortable. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Corley Funeral Home in Corsicana, TX. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 2:00 PM at St. John’s Episcopal Church with Father Edward Monk officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Beeman Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Stone, Charlie Ballew, Mike Ballew, Rusty Turner, Scott Chandler and Harris Miers. A celebration of life reception will be held at the Corsicana Country Club at 5:30PM on Friday, June 28, 2019. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church in Corsicana, TX.
