Sonja Jo Follis, age 71, of Corsicana went to her heavenly home Friday, January 24, 2020 at Twilight Nursing Home. She was born February 6, 1948 to Jack R. Holleman and Jo Ellen Holleman (Beamon) in Corsicana, Texas. She married Johnny L. Follis on May 24, 1974, two daughters followed and brought her great joy. Her family, both close and extended were very dear to her. She was a loving mother, good cook and homemaker. As a born-again Christian, her church work was important to her. She enjoyed teaching in Children’s Church, was president of the WMU and did homebound visits. She was a witty lady, whose jokes and funny remarks would have folks rolling in the floor. Sonja was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her daughters; Tonya Crum and husband Brad and Rebecca Follis of Corsicana; her step-son Lindsey Follis of Houston; and her grandson Justin Crum of Corsicana. Sonja is also survived by her sisters; Sue Hill and husband Mark of Blooming Grove and Kathy Price of Corsicana. She leaves behind to cherish her memory five step grandchildren, four step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Corley Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park in Corsicana with Bro. Larry Talbert officiating.
