Craig McGuire, 61, of Rankin, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020, at the McCamey Hospital. Craig was born on August 20, 1958, in Houston, Texas. He was a graduate of Katy High School. Craig had a fierce love for Rock and Roll music and had played the guitar prior to his accident. Craig loved football, and his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed watching television and especially movies. Craig was fun loving. He had his favorite nurses and nurses’ aides and he never missed an opportunity to be a “big flirt”. Family was everything to Craig, and he cherished the time he spent with them. He was preceded in death by mother, Thelma Maxine Cofield; and his father, Troy McGuire, Sr. Survivors include two sisters, Becky Robison and Shanda Stephens and her husband Wesley, all of Rankin; a brother, Monte McGuire Jr. and his wife Debbie of Katy; nine nieces and nephews; and 17 great nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 16, 2020, at the Rankin Cemetery Pavilion in Rankin, Texas with Martha Perritt officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
