Funeral services for Mary Davis, 81, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, at Bartley Funeral Home with Chaplain Carey Ponder officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery. Mrs. Davis passed away May 1, 2017, at her home in Grand Saline. She was born April 10, 1936, in Van Zandt County to Wesley Herbert & Mable Louise Fagg Savage. She had lived in Grand Saline all of her life where she was a member of Richland Heights Baptist Church and was an LVN. Mary sang with her sister, Clovis Davis, at funerals, revivals, and churches in East Texas for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Marietta Webb; son-in-law, Robert Webb; grandson, Zachary Webb; and two sisters, Clovis Davis and Lynna Martin. Survivors include her son, Larry Mark Davis and wife Cheree of Grand Saline; two brothers, Jerry Savage of Denton and Randy Savage of Gordon; two grandchildren, Heather Davis and Robert Davis of Grand Saline; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Harlan Wayne Davis, Bill McGallian, Bob Wolter, Danny Currey, James Davis and Rickey LaPrade.
