Services for Raymond Earl Potter, 72, of Canton, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Roundflat Pentecostal Church with Bro. Homer Morgan and Bro. Randy Sadler officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline. Interment will be in Shirley Cemetery, Sulphur Springs. Mr. Potter passed away February 10, 2017, at his home in Canton. He was born April 16, 1944, in Waxahachie to Lemuel Earl & Odell Anita Highfield Potter. He attended several years at the First Assembly of God Church in Grand Saline, New Frontiers Cowboy Church for several years, and the last 2-3 years at Roundflat Pentecostal Church. He worked for Carrier in Tyler for many years. Ray enjoyed witnessing and visiting with friends at the Dairy Palace in Canton. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jerry Lee Potter. Survivors include his church family at Roundflat Pentecostal, New Frontiers Cowboy Church and Dairy Palace friends. Pallbearers will be Jerry Jones, Rod Hoffpauir, Todd Davis, Jerry Gibson and Jim Wise, and Coy Carpenter.
