Services for Ruby Lois Akins, 88, of Fruitvale, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Roundflat Pentecostal Church with Bro. Eddie Paul Stanley and Bro. Homer Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Creagleville Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Ruby passed away April 22, 2017, in Tyler. She was born November 22, 1928, in Oak Grove, OK, to Emra Freemont & Lucy Emaline Castleberry Eldred. She spent many years in Pleasant Grove before moving to Fruitvale in 1972. She was a member of Roundflat Pentecostal Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed her big family and their fun together, and loved to fish and garden. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delbert Akins; three brothers; four sisters; and four great-grandchildren, Jillian LaPrade, Addison Dugan, Samantha Fuller and Landon Cooper. Survivors include 132 immediate family members, of those, 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Roy & Nancy Akins of Grand Saline and Shane & Sandy Akins of Fruitvale; five daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon & Eddie Stanley of Grand Saline, Lynna & Rodney Renberg of Mabank, Vickie & Butch Dugan of Grand Saline, Tina & Dale Carroll of Grand Saline, and Christie & Jason Fuller of Omaha; brother and sister-in-law, Buddy & Gayna Eldred of Sweetwater; three sisters and son-in-law, Lucille Griffin of Shawnee, OK, Martha & Bill Courtney of Sulphur, OK, and Beth Lessly of Norman, OK; 29 grandchildren, Eddie Paul Stanley and wife Ginny, Lori Stanley and Justin Faglie, Gary Stanley and wife Brandy, Karla Hance and husband Brad, Roy Glenn Akins and wife Jessica, Stacey Akins, Lucas Akins, Latham Akins, Layla Daily and husband Dee, Rodney Renberg and wife Beth, Joshua Renberg and wife Jamie, Jody Morris and husband Kevin, Kristin Cooper and husband Josh, Daniel Renberg and wife Julie, Lannie Dugan and wife Amie, Logan Dugan and wife Heidi, Lacie Bellon and husband Matthew, Sheena Lively and husband Mike, Shae Peprusky and husband Stan, Brittany Akins, Amanda Gaston and husband Kinne, Natasha Lee and husband Cody, Troy Carroll and wife Brittany, Chelci Copeland and husband TJ, Tanner Booth and wife Wyona, Christopher Carver and wife Amanda, Coby Carver and wife Abby, and Sydney Fuller; 57 great-grandchildren, Jessica and husband Shawn, Lindsey and husband Kyle, Abby, Paytton, Kallie, Garrett, Trever, Bryli, Jena, Cooper, Colt, Holly, Sarah, Jacob, Kendall, Serenity, Weston, Anna, Kylee, Trista, Zac, Oleha, Cole, Tia, Shane, Dusty, Katie, Eric, Doc, Brodi, Hunter, Devin, Chason, Braden, Rylan, Colton, Allison, Austin, Harlie, Landri, Augustus, Payton, Trynity, Cayson, Kyle, Kollin, Zander, Carter, Cain, Jayci, Wyatt, Raylee, Jadie, Dexter, Cadence, Lane and a baby boy on the way; 1 great-great-grandchild, Kalynn; and numerous other relatives and friends. Grandsons serving as pallbearers are Eddie Paul Stanley, Roy Glenn Akins, Gary Stanley, Troy Carroll, Lucas Akins, Latham Akins, Coby Carver, Christopher Carver, Tanner Booth, Logan Dugan, Lannie Dugan, Rodney Shane Renberg, Joshua Renberg and Daniel Renberg. Memorials may be made to Roundflat Pentecostal Church. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
